How do I make a reservation?

Reservations can be made online or by calling 877-577-7667. The renter/responsible party must be 25 years of age or older unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Do you require a deposit?

Accepted Answer

Yes, 50% is due at time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due 7 days before arrival.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

More than 15 days notice: 90% refund or credit. 7-14 days notice: 50% refund or credit. Less than 7 days notice: No refund or credit. Same day reservations: No refund.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash on-site as well as Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. All payments must be in US dollars.

Do you allow pets?

Accepted Answer

No. For the safety and comfort of all guests and the local wildlife, pets are not permitted on the property.

Can we have a party or wedding at the cabins?

Cabin rentals are for private residence only. No parties, large groups, or additional overnight guests beyond the maximum occupancy are allowed. For events, please check out Rio Cibolo Ranch for our event center options.

What is the maximum occupancy?

Accepted Answer

Waterfront Cabins: 6 guests. Safari Cabins: 7 guests. Glamping Cabins: 4 guests. Cabanas: 8 guests included (up to 15 for additional fee).

Is Son's Rio Cibolo a good day trip from San Antonio?

Yes — we're just 20 minutes east of San Antonio in Marion, TX. Day-rental cabanas and picnic tables are available 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM with full access to 3 pools, the spring-fed Cibolo Creek, the game room, sport courts, kayak rentals and 100 private acres. Perfect for a family fun day near San Antonio or a weekend reset.

Are the cabins wheelchair accessible?

Most cabins are elevated on stilts to stay out of the flood plain and are not wheelchair accessible. However, Deluxe Safari Cabins #25 & #26 have ramp access, wider doors and showers. Please call 877-577-7667 to inquire about accessible accommodations.

What amenities are available?

All cabin guests have access to 3 swimming pools, 4 hot tubs, a game room (ping pong, shuffleboard, pool table, foosball), volleyball and basketball courts, horseshoes, creek access for swimming and fishing, and a private fire pit at each cabin.

Can we use the game room and hot tubs anytime?

The game room and hot tubs are available from 8 AM to 11 PM.

Can we use the kayaks and paddleboards?

Accepted Answer

Kayaking and paddleboarding are available for an additional fee. If you rent a cabin or cabana, kayaking & paddleboarding are 25% OFF. Life jackets are available, and we ask that you use them.

Are there lifeguards?

Accepted Answer

No. There are no lifeguards on duty at the pools or creek. Swimming is at your own risk. The renter is responsible for supervising all guests, especially children and non-swimmers.

Can we use the fire pits?

Yes! Each cabin has its own fire pit. Please ensure all fires are fully extinguished after use and keep children away from open flames. Bring your own firewood.

Do you have WiFi?

Yes! Son's Rio Cibolo has super high-speed fiber optic WiFi in each cabin, along with Smart TVs for streaming.

On 100 private Hill Country acres: kayaking and paddleboarding on Cibolo Creek, 3 pools, 4 hot tubs, fishing, fire pits, sport courts, climate-controlled game room, hiking trails, and stargazing.

Yes — game room, free pool floats, shallow swim areas in Cibolo Creek, kayaks, fire-pit s'mores, and a 100-acre car-free property. 20 minutes from San Antonio and about 1 hour from Austin.

Do the kitchens have everything to cook meals?

Yes, our kitchens are fully stocked with cutlery, utensils, dishes, glasses, pots and pans, a full-sized refrigerator, convection microwave oven, hot plate, blender, and coffee maker.

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing toiletries, paper towels, firewood, fishing gear, life jackets, charcoal and matches, water shoes, pool floats and noodles, camp chairs, bug spray, flashlight, swimsuits, sunscreen, and a cooler with food and drinks. HEB grocery is just 13 miles away in Cibolo.

What's the difference between cabin rental and glamping near San Antonio?

Accepted Answer

Cabin rentals (Waterfront / Safari) include a full bathroom, full kitchen and insulated walls. Glamping (Glamping Cabins / Bell Tents) has a kitchenette, A/C and shared restroom trailers at a lower price point — both on the spring-fed Cibolo Creek.
