Why a "family-only" rule matters near San Antonio
Most state parks and a lot of Hill Country glamping spots are first-come, first-served — or rented out to whoever pays first. That's how a quiet family weekend ends up next to a 14-person bachelorette party with a speaker.
Son's Rio Cibolo is private property. We screen at booking, check ID at the gate, and have on-site staff enforcing the rules below. It's the single biggest reason guests come back: they know what they're getting.
The 5 rules that keep it quiet
25+ Primary Renter
Every booking requires a lead guest who is 25 or older and stays on-site the entire trip. ID is checked at check-in. This single rule filters out party rentals before they happen.
Quiet Hours After 10 PM
10 PM to 8 AM property-wide. Outdoor music off, voices down, no fireworks. Repeat or severe violations result in immediate removal without refund.
No Parties, No Events Without Approval
Bachelor/bachelorette weekends, large gatherings, and unauthorized day-guests are not permitted. Approved family reunions and group bookings go through our group team and follow the same noise rules.
Pet-Free, Always
No pets of any kind, including emotional-support animals. This keeps cabins genuinely clean for guests with allergies and asthma — a real differentiator vs. most Hill Country rentals.
Smoke-Free Indoors and Out
No smoking, vaping, or cannabis anywhere on the 100-acre property. Cleaning-fee violations are charged to the booking card.
